San Fermin 2011 "Running of the Bulls" festival kicked off on the 6th of July, 2011 in Pamplona, Spain. The beginning of the festivities is marked by a rocket launched from the town-hall building 'Txupinazo'.

After the ceremony, dozens of visitors head towards Navarreria Fountain to jump from the top of it. Many fail to coordinate themselves with their supporters and suffer severe injuries.

The encierro was very fast and lasted three minutes and ten seconds. Very few times have the bulls of Cebada Gago visited Pamplona without leaving behind horn wounds, and this year has been no exception.

A young man from Australia, 24 years old, caught the attention of Esquillo, a bull that had run into the ring a little behind the others. Right before entering the corrals, the bull gored him in the right thigh. According to medical reports from the hospital complex of Navarra, the wound is not a serious one. Three others were taken to the hospital as well with minor injuries.
